A little bit about Robyn
Robyn is a member of Hilton Church and works locally as a Depute Head Teacher. She spent the last year working in a school in Lesotho where God touched her heart to do something for the orphaned children in Lesotho. While in Lesotho Robyn also did voluntary work in a local orphanage. There she met her now adopted daughter Palesa. Not much more needs to be said. Actions Speak Louder Than Words.
A little bit about what Robyn is doing
Robyn is answering God's call and going to Lesotho to set up a crisis care centre for street boys under 14 years of age. The centre and the Scottish based project supporting it has the following aims: - to show the love of Jesus. - to set up and run a crisis care centre for eight to ten street boys (initially). - to provide a place of safety and nurture for the boys. - to meet the boys basic needs of food, clothing and education. - to access counselling for the boys. - to develop pastoral support for the boys by linking them with mentors from the local church. - to work with a local organisation placing a major emphasis on empowering existing family so the boys may be reintegrated with their families or with mentors in the community, equipping local people to effectively assist the street children.
